I am looking for open shooting areas near Chandler. I don't know the desert area well so directions would be helpful, too.
Thanks.

Not that I'm aware of. Only public shooting ranges.

again..mostly indian reservation..you have to go way past the ak chin casino..i believe .. until you can shoot legally...go to world of maps and get the arizona state atlas..it will show you in detail who owns specific land areas

There is a well used spot off of Rio Bravo/Hidden Valley West of Maricopa off of 238. Go South on Rio Bravo for about 5 miles and the spot is on your right. If you go, please take out more than you bring... the spot is continually trashed.

I'm in East Mesa and I'll usually go to Florence for desert shooting. However, it might be closer for me than you.

I am in San Tan Valley, is there any private way to find out where this spot is?

I usually go out to Rio Salado, but it would be nice to just shoot closer to where I live.

I just moved into Johnson Ranch, and the only place I have found is just south of the Ranch, but just north of the rez line. Not a great location, but well used, judging from the trash left behind. I sure would like to find a better place, I target shoot only and always take out more than I bring in. Actually, all I bring in is my target stand, heh. Azsigcop, perhaps you could give me a PM too?

I am new to the area and am in Mesa, where in Florence do you usually shoot? I'm afraid of getting ticketed for trespassing and just need a couple desert areas to go shooting with my girlfriend.

Here is the shooting spot from QC. Once you are on price Rd. look to the right and there is a large dirt hill to shoot at about a mile in
