Hi everyone, first i would like to say since i join the forum i have already gotten some good information out, one of my main reasons for joining the board.

So this is my first post and hopeful not my last.

I guess this is place to ask, I live out in Queen Creek the Johnson ranch area, i am looking for a area out there to shoot any ideas where to shoot out there and maybe a map or directions would be helpful

Thanks in advance

How about the White Tanks Area? I used to go and shoot some years back. Any good areas? Since then, there is a lot of development.

keep going west....Too much going on in that area, Take Bell Rd. west until it turns south, and becomes Sun Valley Parkway. There is a building on the east side, head west on the dirt rd. until you see a one way brigde, cross it and turn left heading west again, follow it out and now your good.

Just find a nice backdrop, there are some ATV's ot there on weekends.

The places we frequent are in the east valley and they are great.

Only problem is that people cant seem to find the common decency to pick up what they brought out. In the past I have seen places that were fantastic become extinct because of the litter.

We bring out a big box and put into it ALL that we brought in and what ever else we can fit into it on the way out. Each time we go it gets a little bit better each time.

Hope the place stays this way. [smilie=anim_banghead.gif]

Does anyone know about Table Mesa Road? I have heard that it is closed and I have heard that it is still open. I am just looking for some clarification.

Anyone know if it is legal to shoot out at the end of Ocotillio road. Kind of out by the Renesance Festival?

Take 60 east and exit Ironwood head south. Left onto Ocotillio Road until it ends. Out there any where????

Does anyone know of any places south of Awhatukee on I10 to shoot. I am a native and I remeber going out the the river and four wheeling back and shooting or dove hunting at the old GM proving grounds. Since I got back for the millitary it seems likthere are so many people here now you have to goto a reange to shoot

I was there yesterday (6-6-08) and there are signs which say no shooting due to fire restrictions (thanks to the BLM), but there were people shooting everywhere?

You have to love gun owners f the government- who are they to tell me where I can shoot my guns

They are the people who are trying to take them away

Part of the issue, and Alan Korwin has written extensively on this, is because people are slobs. They go out, shoot up their targets, and leave the trash behind. I used to shoot out at Miller Road. There was a nice depression north of I10 in between Miller & Watson Rds. Some of you know it. That place was always trashed. Huge swaths of Tonto have been closed for this very reason as well as others I consider questionable.

my favorite desert area to shoot is in the table mesa area, i was out there about 2 months ago and there was a "no target shooting" sign so i moved on up north to the bumble be area it was not the same. Then last week i took a freind shooting, i decieded to see if the sign had be removed it was still there, but only had a number to report wildfires. does any one know if there is still a ban on target shooting at table mesa?
