The reason why gun show organisers do not allow you to load your firearm nor they allow you to load an empty magazine in the gun because they know there are some very stupid people out there who will just shoot someone by accident or shoot themselfs.

The Savannah Morning News reports Lake was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with an injury not considered life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.

Savannah-Chatham police are investigating the incident.

Contrary argument: Would the ND have happened if they had merely allowed him to enter the gun show w/o having to fiddle-f*** with his carry gun, thus necessitating him to reload it in the parking lot?

Impossible to say, except that someone at the show might also have been ventilated in the process.

Ha! I used to go to that show when I lived in Savannah. In fact that was the first one I ever went to. Oh well. Stupid is.

I've never felt comfortable with the anti-gun attitude at big gun shows. Entering a gun show doesn't mean the 2nd Amendment is suspended nor does it give the organizers the right to hire goons to put their hands on your carry gun. I can accept the idea that guns for sale should be cleared with their actions locked open with a twist-tie .

I have carried concealed at every gun show I go to or have ever been to. It's called concealed for a reason.

Thats why they pay off duty police officers to "keep you safe" at the gun show.

Don't make rules or laws that infringe on my rights because of the mistakes, stupidity, or evil of others.
If you want to make "Rules" or "Laws", legislate them out of the freedoms we all should be able to enjoy.

It's just how I feel about it. Nothing personal toward you.

When you go to gun show it is privately owned and when you pay to get in you go onto private property. I would guess the gun show owner is making those rules?

Regardless of what laws or rules there are for carrying or not carrying at a gun show , whether they are good or bad laws , the only person that can be blamed for something like this happening is the one that shot the gun.

You can not blame any laws or rules for what happened here.
