OK....for the who's at home, the topic of Blair Holt's HR 45 Assault Weapon Ban has been discussed. It's been discussed here, in General Discussion then moved to RKBA, where it's been beaten to death almost more than the "Can a 19 year old buy a handgun from a private party?" thread.

Next person who posts about Blair Holt's HR 45 bill saying "I just saw this and didn't see it discussed here before" gets their very own thread...where I'll "sponsor" a Haiku contest to see who can write the best Haiku about the person who posted. Bonus credit for actually being in the 5-7-5 format of a Haiku. The winner gets a Maxpedition M-2 pouch from my store in either Tan or OD, + 1 set of short MALICE clips.

Oh, and the subject of the mocking does NOT get to enter their own contest...this is to discourage some clever Haiku Rainman from posting the thread only to try and sandbag it with a pre-written poem. Anyone who posts this silliness, and then tries to write a Haiku about their silliness, gets suspended for 3 days.

If the senate ratifies the Arms Trade Treaty HR 45 or a bill similar to it will have to be passed to comply with the strict licensing system the treaty requires. As on now both are dead.
