I noticed the other day that apparently the local Rubio's has reversed its stance on firearms. Previously there was a (legal) sign posted pursuant to regulations, and I secured my weapon in my vehicle (generally locking the gun in the trunk of my motorcycle while taking the mag/rounds with me) when entering.

As of last week there is no sign at all, and no hint that Rubio's restaurant plans to disallow firearms.

It's tough to turn away from the Establishment once you see that little sign, when your with someone else like a parent or grandparent.
However I won't go back a second time knowing.

Popo's Fiesta del sol at 59th ave and Bell Saturday. Did not see the gun buster sign. If it was there it was not on the front doors or at the greeter's desk. Great food, I liked it better than Valle Luna's for anyone that has eaten there, salsa is really good.

In Yuma, Az "Round Table Pizza" doesn't allow carry...open or concealed.

Apple Store in Gilbert (San Tan Village) doesn't have a sign posted. I haven't ever seen a sign at any of the SanTan Village entrances either.

OC'd to the Apple Store to wait for the Genius to work on the kidlet's iPod, was there for about 45 min. Spoke with 4-5 Apple reps, place was mostly full of customers all the time. Nobody mentioned the sidearm. As we had forgotten the kidlet's charging cable to see if that was the problem, we made a 2nd trip to the Apple Store an hour later, still OC. No issues at all.

I don't expect Apple HQ to be gun-friendly or anything, but that's the AZ-version I was seeing.

Sauce at Norterra (Happy Valley and I17) has put up a no gun sign. I thought they had to be a certain size and if so this one was smaller than normal but still posted at the bottom left.

Too bad because that place was pretty good. I believe their HQ is based in Scottsdale, I emailed them but haven't gotten a response.

Went to the Buffalo Wild Wings across the street and didn't see the sign. Thought all of the BWW were posted and at one time seen one here.

From recent experience, two Prescott restaurant/bars are NOT posted:

Prescott Brewing Company 130 West Gurley street.

JB's Restaurant 1121 East Sheldon street. Also supports RKBA with photos of local shooting club.

Sears, Park Mall, Tucson still accepts OC or CC in store. Use Sears entrance.

Was posted but now for over 5 month that I've noticed gun buster gone.

The Tuesday $1.50 fish tacos are back on my radar. Damn they were good tonight.

Several Asian food restaurants (Buffet) in Tucson have recently posted homemade signs banning guns in business. These signs are merely a B&W photo copy of a hand gun with circle 'n slash....."Gun Buster".

These "not up to AZ code pieces of paper" are posted at or near check in desk.

Anyone know if the Buffalo Wild Wings in Goodyear (13311 West McDowell Road, east of Dysart Rd) is still posted? My wife likes it, but we haven't been back since I spotted the sign.

Spotted the correctly posted sign at Organ Stop Pizza. I wrote the owner a message and this was his response:

Dear XXXX

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our firearms policy. We appreciate and value all customer feedback, both positive and negative, and strive to accept with open eyes any criticism to find ways to improve how we do things.

I’d like to begin by stating that I understand, appreciate and respect your opinion on this issue. I have a great love for this country and the Constitution, and appreciate others that do as well. When this change in the law occurred in 2009, my initial thoughts were not dissimilar to yours, and we initially leaned toward not posting the signs. We heard and read arguments from both sides, did some research, and found it to be a passionately debated issue on both sides.

As the date of the law approached, we were referred to our insurance agency, who also looked at the issue. Their response caused us to make the decision we did - to post the signs. Our agent made “several inquiries with numerous companies about their opinion and recommendations on this matter”, and “The consensus was unanimous. They all recommend that you post the sign to not allow firearms on the premise.” Our agent strongly suggested that we follow these recommendations or potentially risk increased costs, liability and potentially revocation of our policies.

I believe that the basis for this recommendation stems from an insurance company’s aversion to the unknown. There had been a long history of guns not being allowed in establishments serving alcohol, so they could measure this risk and be comfortable with it. Given time and experience, the insurance companies may change their position, and may even prefer that the signs not be posted. Only time will provide the evidence to prove if their fears had validity, were unfounded, or were incorrect.

Thank you again for your e-mail. I hope this gives you an explanation for our current policy that you can respect and appreciate. I will provide a copy of your e-mail to our insurance agent as additional information in their decision making processes.

Sincerely,
Brad Bishop

Owner/Manager
