been this way since we opened this morning. When trying to do a back ground check NICS is saying all lines are busy so...we can't even sell a gun today unless you have a CCW. We'll stack up the forms and clear them all at once when we get through I guess.

Hurray for CCWs, LOL. Kinda sucks for you guys, though, having to deal with all the customers who I'm sure are unhappy to hear such news.

The rules clearly state that no licensee can be penalized for not running a NICS if the system is down.

The problem is that no FFL wants to put their license at risk by following the rules.

This happens every Black Friday...I'm not going to go so far as to say it's a conspiracy, but I am sure NICS does not care that calls can't be made.

That explains the long lines at Cabela's, the line for gun purchases stretched half way through the store

I was at our local Big 5 (small town, 50,000 people) I know the manager. They had a stack of guns against the back wall waiting for approvals.

And this is why I keep CCW's in THREE states! ;)

I still didn't buy anything - whatever happened to the $49 Mosin-Nagant?
