Thanks for the good info about the ATI 2ndchance. I was aware of the weldment on the receiver to restrict select fire. However, I have seen these with 30 round mags in them. Never did look to see if they were HK mags, but will do so in the future. Will also look to see if an HK lower housing & trigger pack can possibly be installed. The HK 94 route is expensive as they are running $3500+ in good condition, but would need a barrel change and paddle mag release added plus a tax stamp. Cost could be around $5K by the time it was done. The other alternatives are far cheaper. Besides, Derek can fix whatever you bring him, maybe with a little cheese to go with the wine.....

And if you put a can on it: it's really quiet middle school style "get it done and hope the parents don't hear" masturbation.

If you can't find a actual HK94, this may be another option, then get with AZEX.

Receiver 'flats' is all that Bill Flemming can comment on as him holding an actual firearm would send Bill back to prison.

You can try and polish the Todd Bailey turd all you want, but the man is a flat out asshole. I get along real well with Jon Ceiner, but even Jon doesn't try to defend that he is what he is. I am pretty sure Bailey would cop to being a complete asshole to people as well...apparently YMMV

What about a "reverse stretch" MP5/5K hybrid SBR and sear host... This one is from Dakato Tactical in Michigan. Anyone here own/shot/built one like it? Opinions?

Reverse stretch is a cutesy name for what POF has done for years.

Instead of making special bolts and bolt carriers, two pin stocks etc...like the K guns, the Pakis simply made shorter cocking tubes, barrels and cocking tube supports and used the rest of the off-the-shelf parts from their MP5 copy operations.

Smart. Practical. Cost Effective.

Not new.

D.

The most money I ever put into a firearm was a crappy SW5 Special Weapons cast receiver hunk of shit. I really liked the concept and although I had read some of the horror stories on the internet I thought I could easily fix it if it didn't run right. It didn't, off course, and I spent so much money in parts and ammo trying that turd to run correctly that I could have just as well bought a real H&K. At least the real thing would have had some resale value. As it was I lost more money on that one gun when I sold it than I usually loose on a car. (At least a car has several years worth of use instead of the 12 months of brain damage I got from the Special Weapons turd.)

ahh yes the days of the toad and his Faggot little fat Brother wade a couple of real dirt bags.
like derek at AZEX says was true the night the toad and his wort hog wife showed up to our kids band resittle at red mountain in Mesa I notised him and his wort hog sitting directly behind me ( what luck).
I told the now ex wife she kept hitting me in the ribcage with her elbow telling me not to Embarras her in front of everyone Well I could not resist turned and asked the toad if he wanted to call me little fifty to my face I about fell over laughing my f-ing head off while the wife covered her face as I watched the toad and wort hog scurry off like a couple of rats.
when the band resittle was over I stood by the front door waiting for the toad when he came out he saw me he ran like a little girl with her pantys unfire (priceless).
Made my night.
here it is several years later and I still can picture it in my head.
I hope you guys get a laugh out of this like I did.
yeah I know I have a few typeooooos here had few beers tonight when I came across this thread.

I don't believe you have a clue as to what you're talking about then.

I love my 10mm MP5 now that it runs great.

It was built on a Vector receiver by Turner Fabrications Mesa.

It was having random misfeeds. Took it to Derek to find the problem.

He sent it off to a gentleman in Mesa whose name escapes me.

It turned out it was the feed ramp being not quite right in its placement.

Once that was fixed it runs reliably now.

I have SBR'd it.

Wish I had the money for a happy pack for it, but next up is a suppressor for it.

Here is my baby.
