I am over the .40 cal. I don't know why but I am. I ave not shot my g22 since I got the 9mm barrel for it. It not the price of ammo or anything it's just I am done with it. I think it will just be 9 and 45 from now on.

I have a couple of .40 cal Glock barrels I keep for SHTF purposes. I have no intentions of keeping or shooting .40 regularly.

Kinda my opinion on the .40. I sold a .40 S&W not because I didnt like it, I just didnt see any advantage to it.
I agree with the 9mm or 45acp only.

Interesting that so many are abandoning the .40.

When I look at the brass on the ground at my local range, it's primarily 9MM, but the next largest concentration is the .40 most of the time. I almost never see .45 any more but that may be because the guys shooting it are picking it up and taking it with them.

I thin you are on the right track. The value of the brass will cause a lot more pickups on the .45.

I've always hated the .40 but it has been tremendously popular. I think it has peaked in popularity and there is nowhere to go but down.

I've also moved away from the foty, lol, I shoot it well, but have had more issues in shooters with this round than any other per percentage shot.
I still maintain the shooters and ammo, in the event I run low on others, but it is not and won't be in the future a add to thing.
Nice round, but if going any other direction it would be 10mm, the .45 is my fav and will remain so. And I do pick up as much .45 brass as possible when times and rules allow.
happy day after hump day. fishing anyone. lol

I got out of .40 last year to concentrate on 9mm and .45
I had gotten rid of everything .40 except for my P229 that is in .40 and .357sig. And a G35 for competitions but mostly running the 9mm barrel on it. I got rid of my Springfields in .40 and all my other Glocks in .40.

And then I found a cheap G22 :P I was promising myself that I am going to sell it to my friend, because he was looking for one. And then I got a G27... I dunno why, I already have G26 and G30... aaaaaaarrrgh!
Help me!

I have never been a fan of 9mm. Ran 45 only for years, recently got back into the 40 cal game and like it. Birds of a different feather i suppose?

I sold my G27 and .40 XD Compact a few years ago and have never looked back. It's 9mm and .45 only for me. Well except for the 460SW, 454C, 45 Colt, 357M, 44M, 38Sp, .380, .32. But no 40 for me :s At the time 40 was more expensive and harder to find, probably not the case now. But i have no plans for a 40 anytime soon.

I don't mind the .40 whatsoever. I do prefer a 9mm for concealed carry and general plinking, however, I do like to blast off a .40 every now and again.

They are not for sale. I keep them so I have the option of shooting 9mm, .40 or .357 Sig out of my Glock 32/33 if for some reason I could not find 9mm or .357 Sig.
