ok got this a while back and just now gettting around to reviewing issue, appears it was left unattended after shooting, plug is rusted.
Presently have it soaking in a release agent, started pm today, figure i'll give it a day or so.
I cannot remember ever having this issue back in my early days of BP, so any nuances to removal from those that are more current will be greatly appreciated.
thanks and regards to the survivors.

+2 on Kroil

I had a breechplug screw that was just about totally wiped out of a screwslot. I put Kroil on it overnight and when I went to give it one last try the next day , I noticed when I touched it with the screwdriver blade it moved! I just reached down and unscrewed by hand. Stuff's amazing.

Liquid Wrench works better than Kroil. Apply it and tap on the plug with a very small hammer and it will come loose.

Liquid Wrench saved a heavily copper fouled barrel for me, Kroil wouldn't touch it.
